FAKE ENAMELED DIALS

Be very careful when you consider buying a verge watch with an enameled dial. Some of them are fake ! In fact, the dials are often authentic white dials that have been adapted with decals, or handpainted.

For example, this seller in UK is selling watches with fake enameled scenes. These ones are hand painted, so quite difficult to detect.
Hopefully, the seller is honest and indicates that the dials have been painted later.
Some scenes are very similar (masonic, revolutionary scenes,...).

True !!!
I was surprised myself to see this on websites dedicated like Ebay for instance considering wrongly most of fake watches do not concern periods < XXth century.
